These terms are an agreement between you and C26 Labs LLC, a California limited liability company, covering the TranscribeAnything Mac app and this product site. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. They work alongside Apple's standard App Store terms — for anything about billing, Apple's terms control.
You get a personal, non-transferable license to use TranscribeAnything on Macs you own or control, as allowed by the App Store rules. You may not resell, sublicense, or reverse-engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it.
The app includes 5 free transcriptions, each up to 30 minutes long, with no account required. Beyond that, unlimited transcription is $19.99/year, billed by Apple through your Apple ID. Prices may change prospectively; renewals and cancellation are managed in your App Store subscription settings, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
You own everything you transcribe, and it stays on your Mac (see the privacy policy). You are responsible for having the rights and consents to record and transcribe your audio. In particular, recording conversations may require the consent of participants — California and several other states require it. The app captures what you tell it to capture; complying with recording laws is on you.
Don't use the app unlawfully, don't infringe others' rights, don't attempt to bypass the license or free-tier limits, and don't misuse the web-link feature to violate any platform's terms or anyone's copyright.
Transcripts are produced by an on-device machine-learning speech model. They can contain errors — misheard words, wrong names, missing speech — especially with poor audio. Transcripts are provided for your convenience and are not certified records; verify anything important before relying on it. TranscribeAnything is not a medical, legal, or court-reporting service.
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN EXCLUSIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, C26 LABS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA OR LOST PROFITS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) WHAT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50).
Contact us first through the contact form — most issues resolve in one exchange; give us 30 days. Otherwise, disputes are resolved by binding individual arbitration (JAMS, Los Angeles County, California) rather than in court, and you and C26 Labs each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. Small-claims court remains available, you may opt out of arbitration by writing to us through the contact form within 30 days of first accepting these terms, and claims must be brought within one year. These terms are governed by California law; venue for non-arbitrable matters is Los Angeles County.
We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms, and may update these terms — the date above always reflects the current version; continued use means acceptance. Sections that should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, disputes) survive. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stand.
